What changed in Nexmail, and when.
Newest first, in plain words. Follow along in any feed reader with the RSS feed, and see what is coming next on the roadmap.
- Fixed
Check DNS asks your provider to look again
A domain whose records Resend still called pending stayed pending, however often you pressed Check DNS. Pressing it now starts a fresh check with Resend.
- Fixed
Keep your own inbound mail and still verify your domain
If your domain’s mail goes to a forwarder or another inbox, Nexmail no longer waits for the receiving record. It verifies once DKIM and the sending records pass.
- Fixed
The status page stays current all day
Provider health is checked every minute in the background, not only while someone has Nexmail open.
- Improved
The domain check tells you where things stand
Instead of a bare "pending", it says who is checking each record (for example "checking at Resend"), what is already verified, whether anything needs a fix, and that receiving mail in Nexmail is optional.
- New
Sending and receiving are shown separately
Settings → Domains shows "Sending ✓" and "Receiving" on their own. If you read a domain’s mail somewhere else, untick "Receive this domain’s mail in Nexmail" on the DNS check and Nexmail stops asking for the receiving record. Sending never waits on receiving.
- Improved
The status page explains itself
Each service shows why it is not healthy, right on its card. A connected provider that simply has not been checked lately reads "Connected · not checked recently", not "Degraded".
- New
What’s new is public, with an RSS feed
Read it at nexmail.nexprove.com/whats-new, or follow /whats-new/rss.xml in any feed reader.
- New
Send later
Pick a time in the composer and the message leaves then. Change or cancel it until it goes.
- New
Connect any IMAP and SMTP mailbox
Alongside Gmail and Google Workspace. Signing in with Google instead of an app password is in beta.
- New
Add to Slack
Install Nexmail in your own Slack workspace in one click, and route each address to the channel that owns it.
- New
Mailgun as a sending provider
- New
Browser notifications
Turn them on to hear about new mail and reminders while Nexmail is in another tab.
- Improved
A redesigned calendar
A day view, free and busy times, booking pages in the guest’s own time zone, and a choice of Google Meet or Microsoft Teams for each meeting.
- Improved
Search is much faster on large inboxes
- Improved
Sign-up confirms you are 18 or older, and new teams get a few setup tips by email
At most three tips, each with a link to stop them.
- Fixed
Sign-up confirmation emails go out again
Between 19 and 23 October some confirmation emails were never sent. Everyone affected has been sent a new link.
- New
Privacy policy, terms, and guides on the website
Plus comparisons with Front, Missive, Google Groups and Zoho Mail, and guides to SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
- New
Calendar
Week, month and agenda views over the Team calendar, your own, and any calendar you connect in Settings → Calendars: Google, Outlook, iCloud and other CalDAV, or any calendar link. Events you add can go on several calendars at once, and changes reach all of them.
- New
Type an event in your own words
The box at the top of the Calendar reads lines like "Lunch with sam@acme.com Friday 1pm for an hour" and opens the event filled in for you to check. On the Team plan the assistant reads it, so looser phrasing works too.
- New
AI tools can manage your calendar
Claude and other MCP tools connected to Nexmail can now list your calendars and events, find free time, and add, move or delete events. Give a credential the new calendar:read and calendar:write permissions, or reconnect the tool to grant them.
- Improved
Forms keep what you typed
A new event, a booking link or feedback you close or reload before saving is still there when you come back. Mistakes are pointed out next to the field, and deleting an event, a booking link or a connected calendar asks first.
- New
Meetings from your email land on the calendar by themselves
Invites (and their updates and cancellations) are added exactly. "Call on Thursday at 3pm" in an email becomes a tentative event. Each thread shows the meetings it set up, with Join, and an Add to calendar button.
- New
Booking links
Settings → Booking links: share a link, people pick a free time from your calendars, and it lands on your calendar with a Google Meet link and an invite for both of you. Insert one into any email from the editor toolbar.
- New
A notetaker for your calls (Team plan)
Open a meeting with a Meet, Zoom or Teams link and choose Send notetaker. Afterwards the transcript and a summary are on the event, filed as a note on the email thread, and posted in its Slack thread.
- New
Request a feature or report a bug
From the menu under your name. It goes straight to the people who build Nexmail.
- Improved
The website covers the calendar, booking links and the notetaker
The homepage, Features, Integrations, Pricing and Roadmap now describe them, with new guides under Docs for connecting a calendar, booking links, the notetaker, and the sales pipeline with Draft with AI.
- New
Connect a Gmail or Google Workspace inbox
Choose Google in Get started and enter the address and an app password. Nexmail reads the inbox every minute without marking anything read, and replies go out through Google. Nothing changes in your DNS.
- New
A sales pipeline for the people you are talking to
Turn it on in Settings → Sales pipeline. A board and a lead list with stages, owners and next steps, a Due queue, bulk actions, and "Email selected" to start a draft campaign. Off by default.
- Improved
DMARC reports are filed away automatically
The daily reports Google, Yahoo and Microsoft send to dmarc@ your domain arrive archived and read, under the "DMARC reports" label, and are not posted to Slack. A person writing to dmarc@ still lands in the inbox.
- Fixed
Newsletter sign-ups get their confirmation email on a retry
If the confirmation could not be sent, the sign-up page still said “check your inbox”, and trying again within ten minutes sent nothing. Now trying again sends it.
- Fixed
A double-click no longer makes two campaigns
Buttons on the Lists panel and the contacts bar wait for the first click to finish. A tag you typed is kept if tagging fails.
- Improved
Setup keeps your checklist when a check fails
If a refresh fails, the checklist stays on screen with a note that it may be out of date. The DNS records step shows when it is loading, and offers a retry if it fails.
- Improved
Campaign pages show errors instead of an empty page
If the campaign list fails to load you see an error and a retry, not “No campaigns yet”. A campaign page that stops updating shows a banner instead of going blank. Send stays off until the recipient count has loaded.
- Fixed
Everyone has exactly one personal address
Setup could leave someone with two. The extra address now works as a mailbox only that person can use, and mail sent to it still arrives.
- Improved
Receiving is checked every day, and repaired where Nexmail can
Nexmail checks your MX records, your domain in Resend, and the connection from Resend back to Nexmail. If receiving is switched off in Resend, or the connection points to the wrong place, Nexmail fixes it in your Resend account. Your DNS records are never changed.
- New
Undo send
For a few seconds after you press Send, the confirmation has an Undo button. Press it and the message is not sent.
- New
Trash
Move a conversation to Trash from the thread, from a selection, or with #. Trash has its own place in the sidebar, and Restore puts a conversation back. Nothing in Trash is deleted.
- New
Mark as unread, and see who has read a thread
Shift+U marks a conversation unread for the whole team. Each thread shows “Seen by” with the teammates who have opened it.
- New
Forward a message or a whole thread
Add a note if you like. The original and its attachments go with it.
- New
Templates with variables
Save a subject and body under Settings → Templates, then use it in compose or in a campaign. Write {{first_name|there}} to fill in a contact’s first name, with “there” when there is none. Every edit makes a new version, and mail already sent or scheduled keeps the version it used.
- Fixed
Contact suggestions come only from your organization
Looking someone up in the composer searches your own contacts and your own mail history, and nothing else.
- New
Connect Claude by signing in
In Claude, add a custom connector with your Nexmail address and press Allow when Nexmail asks. No key is needed. The connection is listed under Settings → Credentials, where you can revoke it.
- New
Contacts, with lists and newsletters
A new Contacts page under Outreach. Import a spreadsheet or paste a list, add people by hand, or let them appear as mail comes in and campaigns go out. Filter and sort by date added, source, list, tag and status, then start a campaign from the people you picked or from a whole list.
- New
Newsletters people can sign up to
Each newsletter gets a public sign-up page and a snippet to paste on your site, with an optional confirmation email. Unsubscribing from any campaign updates the contact too.
- New
Schedule a campaign and pace it
Pick when it starts, how many go out per day and in which hours. A scheduled campaign can be cancelled before it starts.
- New
Follow-ups that stop when someone replies
Up to three follow-ups per campaign, sent in the same thread, only to people who have not replied, unsubscribed or bounced.
- New
Preview as a real contact, and send yourself a test
See the subject and body exactly as one recipient will get them, merge fields filled in, before anything goes out.
- New
A/B test the subject line
Write a second subject; recipients are split evenly and the campaign page compares opens and replies for each.
- New
Mark how a reply went
Interested, meeting booked or not interested, on each reply. Campaign stats now count meetings booked and unsubscribes.
- New
One contact per company
An option that mails only the first person at each company and skips the rest, so one account does not hear from you three times.
- New
Public guides for connecting your domain
Step-by-step pages for Cloudflare, Namecheap and other DNS hosts at /docs, plus a guide for AI agents and scripts that use the API.
- New
Connect Claude, Cursor and other AI tools
Nexmail works as an MCP server. A connected tool can list your mailboxes, read and search conversations, send and reply, and search contacts. It sees only what the person who connected it can see, and it cannot override a blocked send. Setup is in the AI agents guide at /docs.
- New
Everyone you email becomes a contact
People you send to, on cc and bcc too, are added to Contacts. Your own addresses and people already in Contacts are skipped.
- Improved
Contacts are for the owner
Only the organization’s owner can open Contacts or start a campaign from contacts.
- Improved
Clearer Cloudflare token steps
The setup now says exactly what to pick in each of Cloudflare’s three dropdowns, starting with “Zone” in the first one.
- Improved
Your mail is yours
Mail to someone’s personal address is visible only to them and to the organization’s owner. Admins no longer see other people’s personal mail.
- New
General mailboxes: support@, info@ and more
Turn one on from Teammates, then choose whether everyone sees it or only the people you pick. Anyone who can see one can answer from it. In the sidebar they sit under one “General” entry, with a tab for each in the inbox.
- New
Choose your own address when you join
New teammates pick the part before the @ once. After that, an admin changes it for them.
- Improved
Teammates replaces Settings → Users
One table of everyone on the team. Admins invite people and manage address, role, password reset and access from each row.
- Improved
Settings and Health moved to the organization menu
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to find them.
- Improved
New mail appears without reloading
An open inbox checks for new mail every few seconds.
- Improved
One look for every table and dropdown
Pickers like role and suppression reason now match the rest of the app.
- Improved
“Get started” goes away once setup is done
What you filled in during setup, like your default sender, now lives in Settings.
- Fixed
Replies now land in the right thread, with their full text
Mail received through Resend used to arrive without a body, and some replies started a new thread instead of joining their conversation.
- New
Quoted replies fold away behind a “···” button
A long back-and-forth used to show every earlier copy of the conversation on every message. Now you see what the person actually wrote, and the history is one click away. Nothing is discarded — both halves are always there.
- New
Long threads open on the newest message
Older messages collapse to a single line you can click to expand. Anything still sending, or that failed or bounced, stays open — those are the ones you need to do something about.
- New
Arrow keys move around, and “?” lists every shortcut
↑ and ↓ move through the inbox, Enter opens. Inside a thread, ↑/↓ step through messages and ← / → move to the previous or next conversation, keeping whichever filter you were in — so you can clear the unread queue without touching the mouse.
- New
Recipients are chips, not a line of commas
Each address is separate, countable and removable, and a bad one is flagged in red as you type rather than after you press Send. Pasting a column from a spreadsheet turns into chips instead of one unreadable line.
- New
Import recipients from the CRM, a spreadsheet, or a paste
Handles .csv, .tsv and .xlsx, and works out which column holds the addresses by looking at the data — so a header called “correo” works as well as “email”. You always see what parsed, what did not, what was duplicated and who has opted out, before anything is added.
- New
A deliverability check runs while you write
It flags the things that get mail filtered — a subject in capitals, a link whose text names a different site than it opens, an attachment most mail servers reject outright. Warnings never stop you sending. The small number of things that would harm the person receiving it ask you to confirm, and that confirmation is recorded.
- New
Daily sending limits, with messages scheduled rather than lost
Set a ceiling for the whole gateway, for a particular provider, or for a sending domain, under Settings → Sending limits. When the day’s allowance is used up the Send button becomes “Schedule for the next run” and the message goes out when the window resets. Nothing is ever dropped or marked failed.
- Improved
Messages render the way the sender wrote them
Formatted mail now shows formatted by default and the frame grows to fit, instead of showing plain text inside a fixed box. “Show plain text” is still there when you want to see exactly what arrived. Images from people you have not chosen to trust are still blocked until you ask.
- New
The sending-domain check now says whether your providers can actually pass
Run “npm run domain:check”. It used to answer “are the DNS records valid?”. It now also answers the question that decides whether mail arrives: do those records cover the providers this gateway will actually send through?
- Fixed
A sending provider with no authentication is now reported
A domain could pass every check while a backup provider sent with nothing proving the mail was really from you. That is invisible until the day you tighten your policy, at which point it all goes to spam.
